Cupra gets an important design study ready to rumble

Spanish car manufacturer Cupra has revealed the first official teaser image showing a new concept car scheduled for premiere late this month.

According to the company, the design study is the first vehicle that designed completely under the Cupra brand. It will demonstrate what kind of design and tech future releases of the car marque will have.

Not much is known about the car right now, except that it is a crossover/SUV with “outstanding dynamics and sculpted design”.

The 4WD SUV called the Cupra Ateca was the first vehicle of the Cupra family. It came equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine rated at 300 hp (224 kW) and a 7-speed DCT. The company has also created the e-Racer EV for E-TCR racing series. The hatchback received a powerful all-electric drivetrain rated at 680 hp (507 kW) and could accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds.
