Chevrolet confirms GMC Sierra-style tailgate for Silverado

The new promo video shows the Multi-Flex Tailgate the new Chevy Silverado will be receiving soon. More details will be coming up on September 21, 2020.

Dealerships are reporting that all 2021 model year trucks will get the option. This confirms the rumors from around a month ago and adds convenience for active truck bed users.

Judging by the video, the tailgate will come in six different configurations transformable between each other: access step, shelf, lengthening bar, and more. In purely visual terms, it is no different from the GMC Sierra’s Multi Pro tailgate option. Pricing will likely be the only difference between the two.
