Gateway Bronco stuffs a battery into the Ford Bronco

While Ford is still busy getting its Bronco revival ready for mass production, tuners increasingly take matters into their own hands. Today, let us have a look at this Gateway Bronco EV from the United States.

The restomod is special in that it runs on electric power alone. Originally a first-gen Bronco dating back to the 1960s and 70s, it packs a single high-end electric motor rated at 402 hp (300 kW). The battery provies enough juice to keep it running for 322 kilometers (200 miles), the company claims. The transmission is five-speed manual, but you can order automatic with your own restomod. Either way, the acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) is a matter of roughly six seconds.

Exterior highlights include modern adjustable suspension, LED lighting all around, a luxurious black soft top, and chrome-coated aluminum wheels wrapped in meaty off-road tires.

A complete interior overhaul, which includes an Alpine infotainment system, a full-fledged HVAC and a rearview camera, rounds off the impressive project.
